Does the actual WEB ADDRESS for each specific page affect my SEO?

You know when you first make a web page, and you’re required to make a name? For instance: www.fedupwithed.com/EXAMPLE

So, I’ve found out that there is no way to change what you first wrote. I have a page that’s about eating disorder awareness and it’s URL is www.fedupwithed.com/aboutus

ABOUT US? It’s about eating disorders! Ahhh.

My question is….
Is this going to affect my SEO?
Because if it is…
I should probably make all new pages on my site.
But that would take a long time! And a lot of effort.
So…
Does this affect anything?
I have Microsoft Office Live. So no, it’s not one that just makes up random codes such as www.website.com/328957shf. It’s more like, I got to choose it, but once I do that and change my mind…There’s no going back. (Apparently). It’s weird? I don’t know. And yeah, I know that SEO is more about keywords and less about the URL, however, I was just curious as to whether this would make a big difference or not.

Having important keywords in the URL (for each page) helps a lot. Plan out your pages before you build the site or delete the page you built and move everything over to a page with a URL like fedupwithed.com/eating-disorders/anorexia-bulimea-cure or something like that. Don’t be afraid to have 10 to 12 keywords in the URL. Use dashes or / to separate the words for best effect. Make sure the title of the page, headlines and first words in your paragraphs have the same keywords and you will get great results. Check out the location pages for thecolemaninstitute.com. They have been optimized for the geographic location and the drugs and treatments with titles, URLS, etc and get first page results in most cases with very little other SEO.
