Keyword Research – Finding Lesser Competitive But Valuable Keywords
This tutorial shows you how to find keywords that are less competitive but still have lots of searches, giving you a better chance to get on page one of Google search results. The example was for the golf niche.
The tutorial uses the free Google keyword tool and also shows the power of Market Samurai software.
The criteria for locating good keywords are:
-the #1 site on page one search results gets at least 80 potential clicks per day
-there are less than 30,000 pages (we had to go higher in the golf niche)
-analyze the top 10 sites on page one of Google. See how competitive they are based on their page rank, domain age, listing in directories, use of keywords in the title, URL, description tags and so on.
