Web Design 101 – Joomla Templates & Contact Us
This tutorial describes how to upload Website templates and a contact us module into your Joomla hosted Website. To upload a template:
1. Choose a template from http://www.freejoomlatemplatez.com.
2. Download the file to your hard drive.
3. From your Joomla control panel choose –extensions –install/uninstall.
4. Choose the template .zip file.
5. From your control panel, go to –extensions –template manager.
6. Click the radio button next to the template you want to use then choose –default.
7. Preview your Website.
Creating a contact us page:
1. Go to http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/contacts-and-feedback.
2. Download a contact module and save to hard drive.
3. From your Joomla control panel, go to –extensions –install/uninstall.
4. From your Joomla control panel, go to –extensions –module manager.
5. Choose the contact module.
6. Set the parameters as described in the video.

Third, use header tags wisely.

Forth, get backlinks with relevant keywords.
The more backlinks the better.
There are many ways to get backlinks. You can develop relationships with other webmasters to get traditional reciprocal links from other related sites. Participate in forums related to your topic and be sure to have a link to your site as part of your ‘signature’. Write articles for article directories which include a link back to your site in the ‘bio box’. Use Social Bookmarking services to bookmark your pages and encourage your visitors to do the same. This is just to get you started, it’s not an exhaustive list by any means.
We’ve covered just a few basic, but very important, aspects of SEO in this article. This is a very good place to start if you want to improve your sites search engine optimization. Keep applying these techniques until it becomes second nature and you should see an improvement in both your search engine rankings and an increase in the traffic to your site.
