How 2 Create a Website with 1and1 – 4 Beginners (Part 1)

http://www.1and1.com/?k_id=13530475
Hey guys, this is my first tutorial, teaching you how to create your own website using 1and1 hosting services. I will also explain some of the key features used in order to create the basic looking website as well as a flash website. Hopefully you can learn a few things from it.

This tutorial is aimed more at beginners and for those that do not want to invest a lot of money in a website, so if you’re looking for more expert methods I will be creating some more tutorials shortly on how to use Hosegator and the advanced hosting services. All of the services that I mention in this tutorial I have tried and can state that I have benefited from them. If you have any questions feel free to reply and ask, or message me and I will reply.

Take a look at a couple of the websites that I created with 1and1.

www.CreativeCribs.com (Flash Website)

www.JobFinder101.com (Basic Website)

Thanks for watching, see below a-z steps on how to create a website from scratch.

The following tools is what I used to get started at a very low cost and the learning curve is very easy.

Getting started – Sign up to http://www.1and1.com/?k_id=13530475 the cost is under $10 a month and most of the time they advertise the first 2 or 3 months free. Once you do this buy your domain name within the account.

Once inside go to Website Builder or for a Flash website go to Dynamic Site creator, once you picked out the color scheme and formats it’s time to create the most important thing and that is content!

Writing content can be easy for some but if you are like me it can be very time consuming eventually I learned that the best time for me to write is in the morning when my mind is fresh and my thoughts are clear. The key factor that works for me is when I write I want it to be automatically saved – so many times I can be writing and something happens where I have to step away from the computer or simply my screen freezes up and I wind up loosing my work when I was so deep in thought. SO I started using my gmail account to write my content – Open up a page like i am about to write a email and create a topic in the subject and then start writing – gmail constantly auto saves everything as a draft, also spellchecks and if i need the content at a later date I can do a search at the top of the email account to pull it up. Very cool tip!

But for those that have a problem with creating content or just run out of topics, there are websites out there that will sell you the content.

Another neat idea is when you are creating the look for your website you want to start by creating a draft – and do not do this draft on the website. start your draft on some type of presentation software like powerpoint and once the draft is done then create it on the website you will find that when you do your draft in a application that you are very familiar with your work will move faster and your creativity will pop.

one more idea for the road is to do your research on similar sites and your competition Key factor……

Hopefully this giant post helped a few people.

How To Upload Your Website with a Free Domain and Hosting Service

If you have already finished making your website but wanting to know how to get it up online, here’s the tutorial. This tutorial will show you how to upload your website to a free Hosting service and how to get a free domain name for your website, just like my website. Make sure your files of your website are in one folder.

The hosting website is called Locker Nerd. It does provide a free hosting service but it is not as excellent as the ones you have to pay for since they provide more storage. But this hosting service is good enough, even if there’s alot of media in it. Here’s the link -

http://lockernerd.co.uk/

The domain name provider is ‘CO.CC’. This is my favorite because it is, well, almost close to like ‘co.uk’ but with a ‘cc’ instead so it’ nice. Also, you can get certain domain names you want either free, or $3 per year (That’s if your domain is short and easy that is). Here’s the link to it -

http://www.co.cc/

Then follow the instructions in the video on how to register, upload, and browse your website, publicly!

ENJOY!
